One of the 242’s hidden gems in the music industry has recently rebranded her look and sound and dropped 2 hot singles in the local market. Chase who was known for her hip hop blends, has turned the tides and dropped two hot R&B singles into the mix. Leading off with “Train Tracks” and “Leave Me To Die” [our featured track] she has definitely peeked our interest and eardrums ! When asked about the “Leave Me To Die” single. Chase said
Well, “Leave Me To Die” is a very special song to me. It best describes the state of being I was in during the time that I wrote it. Oddly enough, it wasn’t even intended for me. The song was writen and created with the intention of being sold, but after we were done with it, both my producer and myself felt it was better suited for me because of the lyrical content and the true story behind it. “Leave Me To Die” represents a feeling of being “lost in love”. That feeling of, being incomplete or empty or unhappy without that person or thing that you lost. It represents a feeling of “desperation” almost. A desperate feeling to regain what you felt you deserved…And I feel like a lot of people can relate to that feeling in some way or another
