The most anticipated Bahamian produced TV drama “Gippies Kingdom” premiered last night on local television to the delight of many. Meanwhile as thousands of Bahamians tuned in across the country to catch a glimpse of the first episode, the elife242 team was at the premiere red carpet event with the shows stars @ Super Club Breezes. Now Gippie’s Kingdom is a TV series that follows Everet Gibson a bus driver and his family’s trials in the ever drama filled Bahamian society. Written by Dr. Ian Strachan and directed by Travon Patton the show features the talents of local talents such as Fanchon Dawkins, Tony McCartney and Chigoze Ijeoma (see full Cast List Click here). The night was lit with excitement as the whole cast and producers came together to celebrate the debut but also for most of them to watch the first full episode. The shows producers Dr. Strachan noted that the show was a great financial undertaking and in turn thanked the sponsors such as BTC, Scotiabank and Custom Computers, etc for making it all happen.
