This past weekend …. Mr Southern Hospitality himself “Ludacris” was live on stage here at Club Luna for his first ever show here in the 242. After weeks of hyping up the show with smaller appearances at other clubs and an extreme radio tour that also launched his new cognac “Conjure” here in the islands, on Friday July 9th it all went down!
ON A SIDE NOTE: We must commend the promoters use of TV advertising to promote the show, the ads that cut in on the local cable stations were nicely done !
Local opening acts such as El Padrino and So$aman warm up the excited crowd at Club Luna for this first time experience. The 242 Ludacris fans were out in full force even with the threat of rain. An attendee to the show said “Wasn’t packed but the comfortable crowd made it nice and the performance by Luda literally made everyone “STAND UP”.
Another attendee said “Luda moved SOME people but not so much the country, better marketing, pricing and timing would have made his show have a larger turnout ”
eLIFE 242 hopes to see more shows like this in the islands but obviously for the promoters getting the formula right is still the issue, In any event we still have exclusive photos from the show in true eLIFE 242 form so check them out below and leave your comments and next time we have an A-list celeb in town hopefully we can get all of the 242 out to show them some Southern Hospitality !
