Local Entrepreneur Latoya Moxey-Hanna proprietor of MAVEN Candles, a local scented candle startup that has been making waves in the local small business community recently launched a new line of couture swimsuits. The line was launched Sunday May 29. 2011 at a trunk show at the British Colonial Hilton. The trunk show was well attended by the ‘whose who’ in the fashion community and members of the general public alike who were ecstatic to see the line come to life on stage. One by one the Minka brand was brought out on stage in a high energy stage show that kept audience members in a trance, as the beautiful models ‘ripped the run way’. Latoya (Minka creator) says that she was excited about the success of the show and had high hopes on how the launch would boost sales. Members of the audience had only one complaint and that was that the designs were so good, they were disappointed that the show had to end !
