Stepping away from his regular reggae fuelled vibes, Bahamian singer/songwriter Judah Tha Lion teams up with producer Cy Fyre to create their new hip hop infused single “Hallway.”
The track showcases Judah’s range and shows how he can effortlessly become any sound or vibe he wants. A major plus is that the song is just a catchy, feel good 3 minutes of great music, that adds a new layer to his discography.

eLIFE242 caught up with Judah to chat about the inspiration behind this latest single that’s sure to be a hit.
JUDAH: I got the instrumental from Cy Fyre, a Bahamian producer based in L.A. We’ve been working collaboratively since 2016 and right away when I heard the beat it gave me this feel good vibe and the melodies started flowing immediately. The concept came from that feeling of butterflies you get at the start of a relationship; sneaking away to be with each other, meeting in various ‘hallways’ and rooms. Almost mischievous in a way, but innocent good fun.
eLIFE242: This track has a different (but still great) feel. Are you experimenting with new sounds?
JUDAH: I’ve always experimented with different sounds since the beginning of my recording career back in 2010. The only thing that’s changed is the type of production. But vocally and lyrically, I’ve always experimented.
eLIFE242: “Hallway” opens up and ends with you whistling, are we going to get a whole song of you just whistling?
JUDAH: LOLOLOL! That’s very interesting! You just might! I have a lot of different songs in the vault!
