Amidst the confusion regarding this year’s Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival’s dates and the possibility of it clashing with the country’s general elections, Bahamians were still hyped enough to take over the streets to participate in this year’s Road Fever.
Locals and guests of the country alike, took to the streets to enjoy themselves in this year’s shorter route on what started as a cool day but ended as a scorcher. Recording artist from all over The Bahamas and Caribbean such as Machel Montano, Dyson Knight, Ricardo Dru, Bodine Johnson, The Ultimate Rejects and many more were guest on sound trucks, keeping the vibe alive for the entire day.
The big bands such as The Bahamas Masqueraders and Enigma have definitely seen a rise in participation this year with 1000+ party goers signing on to their groups respectively as they continue to develop their product and brand.
The Road Fever buzz is still making its presence known throughout the world and the Caribbean as the carnival road march of choice and we can only to see much more growth in the coming years.
