#Supportthepuff: Bahamians Rise Up To Support Naturalistas

We hardly, if ever, have real revolutionary movements in this country (as of late at least). Movements where Bahamians actually rise up in unison and solidarity to fight what they see as an injustice to one of us. But over the weekend, angry Bahamians wanted their voices heard in the new (but quickly growing) #supportthepuff movement, as they rallied in support of a high school student whose natural hair has been at the center of controversy.

Here’s the scoop

The story broke late last week when a parent took to the media to express her anger at her daughter being suspended, allegedly for wearing her natural hair. School administrators disagree, saying the hair (worn naturally) was unkempt, untidy and unprofessional.

Unkempt? Untidy? Unprofessional? Bahamians are livid!

This started off a firestorm of controversy, order ambien doses online europe debate and a movement so strong that thousands of Bahamians, naturalistas, non-naturalistas and even men joined the force and attempted to snatch edges from that school administrator.

Since this news broke, the #supportthepuff movement had grown some serious legs and seems to not be backing down! Social media has been going crazy today, as Monday was unofficially dubbed #supportthepuff #naturalhairMonday. Check out the insane support that has been drumming up over the past few days.
